The Grand Traverse District Neighborhood Association (GTDNA) and Civic Park Neighborhood Association (CPNA) in partnership with the Flint Police Activities League (PAL) are hosting Community Unity Talks: Answering our Nation’s Call, a conversation on law enforcement and community relations, Saturday, November 12th, 2016 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at Haskell Community Center, 2201 Forest Hill Ave, Flint, MI 48504. We are inviting the community to come together to discuss issues of racism and policing practices in a safe and welcoming environment.

We would like to formally invite the entire greater Flint community join us in this conversation. Your voice is vital to and we would like to hear your thoughts and perspectives. We believe that having these important conversations, sharing of thoughts, feelings and ideas will continue to help build relationships of trust and understanding in the community.

Please contact Heidi Phaneuf, GTDNA and Holly Wilson, CPNA Event Co-Chairs at (810) 328-3861 or for more information. Food and refreshments will be provided. We will have a facilitated discussion and small group conversations, participants will be asked to share personal experiences and ideas about how law enforcement and the community can help support each other in a positive way. Please see the attached flier for details. This effort is made possible by a grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Flint. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on the 12th!
