Are you as outraged as I am at the tragic poisoning of the entire city of Flint?
The residents of Flint have struggled, for more than a year, not only for their basic human right to clean water, but against the indifference, incompetence, and inaction of the officials who were supposed to ensure the health and well-being of the people.
Here are the details:
WHAT: One-mile solidarity march to move Flint from bottled water to water pipes to reconstruction
WHEN: Friday, February 19, gathering at 10 a.m., with the march beginning at 11 a.m.
WHERE: The march will start from the Metropolitan Baptist Tabernacle Church, 930 East Myrtle Avenue, Flint, MI 48505 [Map], and go to the Flint City Water Plant, 4500 North Dort Highway, Flint, MI [Map]. After speeches by Rev. Jesse Jackson and others, the march will return to the church.

The people of Flint deserve more than just bottled water. They deserve justice.
The thousands of children who will suffer life-long impacts from the lead poisoning caused by cut corners and official neglect deserve justice.
Everyone impacted by this horrific, man-made public health disaster deserves to know they don’t stand alone. They deserve to know we stand with them, that we’ll join their call for justice, accountability, and action. And next Friday, if you’re able, you can show them in person by marching with them.
Thanks for standing up for justice, Gail Philbin
