Updates on events and information!

June Resident Roundtable Potluck
Date and Time: Wednesday June 27, 5:30-7pm
Location: Neighborhood Engagement Hub

Join community members to enjoy food and conversation about challenges and opportunities to improve our neighborhoods throughout our city of Flint. This will be a space for residents to connect and support their neighbors over food. We will continue some of the conversations we had from the last potluck and are excited to welcome new topics as well as new faces.

We would like to remind you that even though this is a potluck and we would like you to bring what you can, it is not a requirement to bring a home cooked dish. If you have any further questions, please reply to this email.

Neighbors Changing Flint: Through Park Monitoring and Data
Date and Time: Monday June 25, 5:30-7pm
Location: Neighborhood Engagement Hub

Do you have a park in your area that needs new equipment but need data to use for a grant to get new park equipment? Do you see your park being used primarily for sports when there isn’t any basketball courts or soccer goal posts? Or do you need to figure out how to use data for grants to help with the beautification of your neighborhood parks?

The Neighborhood Engagement Hub and Habitat for Humanity are partnering up to bring you this workshop on park monitoring and evaluation. This event will give you the tools and resources you need to show you how to gather data and information, and use the data gathered to evaluate the impact of policies, programs, and park improvements on park use so you can address.

The event is about an hour and a half long and is open to everyone in the community! Please keep an eye out for more information this coming week!
