Planning Commission Meeting 3-8-16

Hello there – I wanted to let you know that the Flint Planning Commission will be meeting this Tuesday, March 8 at 6:00 p.m. Due to the presidential primary election, the meeting will be held in the dome of City Hall.

On the agenda are three separate public hearings for medical marijuana provisioning centers– two are new, and one is a modification of an existing one.  The two new proposed locations are 1835 E. Court St (at the vacant Family Video site) and 2610 Davison Rd. (just west of Dort).  The modification request is for Green Culture at 808 S. Center Rd.

In addition to these items, a discussion of the 9th article of the draft zoning code is on the agenda (dealing with additionally regulated uses, including medical marijuana) as well as an update on the Master Plan implementation.

For the sake of clarity, in addition to the general public forum portion of the agenda (at the beginning of the meeting), which is intended to be a time for remarks on anything on the Commission’s agenda or falling in our jurisdiction there will be separate times to speak for or against each of the public hearing items.  I get the sense there will be a great deal of public interest given the volume of written comments that accompanied our meeting packet.

Best wishes,
Elizabeth
