New Public Health Navigator Program – Seeking Navigators

Michigan United is excited to be launching a new grassroots public health navigator program in Flint.

By next week, Michigan United seeks to hire 15 Flint navigators and empower volunteers in the Flint and Genesee County area. We will implement a community based approach to disseminate vital COVID-19 information using our leadership training model to reach Flint residents not accessing up to date information on resources, information and health services.

We hope the program will increase the capacity of the City of Flint and Genesee County Health Department in terms of communication, resident education, and community empowerment. We will also learn from our community about their experience with COVID-19 and hope to identify needs/gaps.

Questions or inquiries may be directed to Aurora Sauceda, Navigator Program Coordinator at asauceda@miunited.org

Please share the application link with groups or individuals who may be a good fit for becoming a navigator!
