On Friday, May 10 – National Small Business Day – the Flint & Genesee Economic Alliance and General Motors (GM) will celebrate five years of the Moving Flint Forward Small Business grant program by announcing this round’s cohort and looking back at the impact of the program.
The GM-funded initiative will award 17 grants of $10,000 each to Flint businesses that are new to the program. Additionally, seven Moving Flint Forward alumni have been selected to receive $5,000 each. The grantees – which represent a cross-section of businesses including landscaping, retail, food and entertainment, and professional services – will also receive critical wraparound support while participating in various networking opportunities and business trainings.
