Join the citywide effort to clean an beautify the City of Flint during the month of May

May 1-5 Unlimited Large Item Pickup – No refrigerators, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, cast iron tubs, tires, shingles demolition materials, plumbing, countertops, concrete, or eviction/moving clean outs. Items must be placed curbside by 7:00 am on your regular weekly collection day.

May 8-12 Unlimited Bagged Trash Pickup – All trash must be bagged and placed curbside by 7:00 am on your regular weekly collection day. All bags must weigh less than 50 pounds.

May 15-19 Unlimited Bundled Brush Pickup – All brush must be in bundles no larger than 4 feet long and branches must be less than 2 inches thick. No trees, tree trunks, stumps or logs. Brush should be bundled with rope or twine (no wire or belts). Bundles must be placed curbside by 7:00 am on your regular weekly collection day. Regular trash day compost pickup will not be affected.

Genesee County and City of Flint Recycle Day • May 13 – Items may be dropped off between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm at the City of Flint Water Service Center, 3310 E. Court Street between Dort Highway and Averill Avenue. Call the Genesee County Recycling Hotline at
810-762-7744. (Formerly called Household Hazardous Waste)

Free Tire Disposal • June 10 – Residents may drop off tires from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Environmental Rubber Recycling, 6515 N. Dort Highway. Payment will be made by tire or per load – $1 each up to a maximum of 25 tires OR $25 per load for 25 tires or more. Only auto and light truck tires accepted. Tire disposal for residential use only – no commercial vehicles allowed.

Cleanup Supplies for Public Spaces – Keep Genesee County Beautiful will provide free yard waste bags, garbage bags, cotton work gloves and litter grabbers to individuals and groups conducting exterior cleanup activities in public areas (parks, schools, traffic medians, libraries, right­of-ways, etc). Call Keep Genesee County Beautiful at 810-767-9696 at least 10 days in advance of needing supplies.

Neighborhood Cleanups – Contact the City of Flint Blight Elimination Division at 810-237-2090 to schedule at least 2 weeks in advance.
