As I mentioned last month, we have officially re-launched the Genesee County Maternal Child Health Network! Network partners met on August 3rd to discuss how to work together to better the care of moms, babies, and families in Genesee County.

Below you will find some important updates and general information from the Network. The August newsletter is attached – a monthly newsletter will be released at the end of each month. Each newsletter will feature a program or organization working to improve local maternal child health outcomes and include upcoming events for moms, babies, children, and families. We want to share your events! Find details on how to submit events to us below!

This session is bringing together 10 local programs and organizations to share details on what they offer, who is eligible, and how to connect to their services.
Participants will receive a virtual resource guide with all the shared resources and more! Professionals, parents and community members are welcome!

The September newsletter will be released on September 26th – any events for moms, children, families, etc. are welcome; we can even include program or clinic hours/information (like an advertisement)!
FREE, virtual, Infant Safe Sleep Training is still available! The Genesee County Health Department offers FREE virtual safe sleep trainings monthly on the third Thursday at 12pm. You can register for a training here or by visiting gchd.us/safesleep/education. A shareable flyer can be downloaded here.
