Federal requirements direct the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Genesee County to publish the annual status of Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) projects. The Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission (GCMPC) provides staff to the Genesee County Metropolitan Alliance (the MPO for transportation planning in Genesee County). The attached information is provided for Genesee County transportation projects that were obligated, let for bid, under construction, and/or completed during FY 2018 (October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018). The projects are grouped under the type of transportation improvement performed by individual agencies and represent an $88.8 million dollar investment into the Genesee County transportation network. These investments include: $2.8 million in Bridge Work, $148,989 in Commuter Services, $992,529 in Non-Motorized Facilities, $56 million in Road Restoration/Resurfacing, $10 million in Safety, $9.2 million in Transit Equipment and Services, $1.4 million in Transit Facility Improvements, and $8.6 million in other improvements.
