Attached you will find an application for an absentee ballot from the City of Flint. There are many reasons you should consider applying for one. The ballot is long this year and is estimated to take 15 minutes to complete in the best circumstances. Who needs the added pressure of long lines waiting behind you as you try to figure out some of the “down ballot” candidates and issues. Yes, we’re voting for MORE than just a President. With an absentee ballot, which is mailed to you, you can vote while having a leisurely cup of coffee while you take your time, are able to research the candidates and issues and make an informed choice. Then you simply seal it in the addressed and postage paid envelope and mail it back in. What could be easier? The deadline to apply is the Saturday before Election Day, but do yourself a favor and take care of this by Wednesday, November 2 so your ballot reaches you on time. You can also fill in your ballot at the City Clerk’s Office on the 2nd floor of City Hall. Ballots should be available sometime this week. Take your time… and VOTE!
