We are looking for a total of 60 volunteers. United Way has aligned with Beyoncé’s #BeyGood initiative to support local United Way programs and the work of Genesee County, which is continuing to respond to the water crisis in Flint, Michigan. On Thurs., June 9, up to 120 Beyoncé fans can volunteer together as part of a joint service project hosted by United Way of Genesee County and United Way for Southeastern Michigan. The project will take place at the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, where volunteers will be helping to pack healthy and nutritious food items for Flint residents, which will be distributed to families to help offset the symptoms of lead exposure.
At the end of the volunteer project, we will celebrate the coming together of neighbors to support the Flint community with a pizza lunch and Beyoncé concert ticket drawing.
To register to volunteer from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thurs., June 9, please visit #BeyGood with United Way – Food Bank of Eastern Michgian Volunteer Project
