Neighborhoods Small Grants are easy-to-access. They can be used to fuel creative ideas, spark neighborhood revitalization or strengthen the connections between neighborhood-based groups. The program is unique because it puts resources into the hands of small, grassroots groups, empowering people to become actively engaged in the health and wellbeing of their community.
What kind of projects do Neighborhoods Small Grants fund?
The purpose of the Fund is to support emerging and established citizen-based organizations in low-income neighborhoods that are solving significant local problems, building alliances with other community institutions, and developing community-based leadership.
A Neighborhoods Small Grant could fund a project that brings together neighborhood residents who have always wanted to tackle a new project or take an existing project to the next level. If you need additional dollars to support your neighborhood-based project, consider applying for a Neighborhoods Small Grant from the Community Foundation. We really want to hear your great ideas for improving your neighborhood.
How much money is available?
Neighborhoods Small Grants have multiple levels, including $500 neighborhood inventory grants; traditional mini-grants up to $1,000; and next level grants up to $5,000.
