Neighborhood Engagement Hub

Dear Leadership of the Flint Volunteer Reception Center:

The Neighborhood Engagement Hub is able to provide some additional services to volunteers coming into Flint and would like to do so immediately.  We will immediately accommodate groups needing a central space to meet up, plan, and exchange information on the north side of Flint.

Location

North side between Hamilton and Pasadena on Martin Luther King

Tools

Clean-up of sites –  push brooms, shovels, garbage cans, trailer.

Expanding sites – equipment includes loppers, saws, shovels, brush hogs with snowblower capacity and training to use large equipment – truck and trailer to deliver and pick-up

Resource Center

Wi-Fi, community access computers, copying machine, fax, maps, restrooms, microwave, stove, meeting space for groups from 4 to 40, Facebook info on many facebooks, easels, dry erase boards, laminator, info of all kinds and place to leave info, water, can use locked file cabinets.

Staffed & open

9 – 4 M – Th

9 – noon Friday

Other hours by appointment – Saturdays, evenings

Arrange for space and equipment by calling (810) 348-5331 beyond the staffed building hours of 9 to 4 weekdays.

 

Note:  fully equipped Community Tool Shed if cleaning up a site or expanding service area
