City of Flint Water Plant has received multiple reports, as recently as yesterday (Wednesday 3/30), that residents are being visited by a group of up to nine (9) people who are entering homes, facilitating tests and making repairs, including pipe replacement, without properly identifying themselves. They give sample bottles to the residents for follow-up testing and tell the residents they will return to pick up the samples, then nobody returns. The residents are calling the water plant because their number is on the test sample form.
Residents are not being given information explaining their rights or a sign-off providing permission to enter or work on their homes. Based on the color of the water sample test forms (yellow) these are not Sentinel program folks.
Can anyone provide contact information for these groups? Are there any known organizations replacing pipes? Are they drawing permits as required by law? This does not appear to be the case as the Water Plant inspector has not been notified.
