Good afternoon. A reminder that RACER Trust will be hosting a virtual public meeting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 22, to discuss environmental activities at the former GM Buick City property in Flint. The meeting will take place by Zoom and the public is invited.
RACER has invited several organizations to participate and present information, and they have graciously agreed. We will hear from Al Taylor of the Materials Management Division of the state Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE); Chris Black of the U.S. EPA; and Bill Farrell of the Environmental Site Contamination Unit of the state Department of Health and Human Services, each of whom will discuss the respective agencies’ roles in overseeing environmental activities at Buick City. Grant Trigger, Michigan Cleanup Manager for RACER Trust, will provide an overview of RACER’s recent and upcoming work at Buick City. Personnel from EGLE and the Genesee County Health Department will be standing by to answer questions from the public as well.
If you are a member of the news media, we would appreciate your assistance in informing your audience. If you are a member of a civic organization, or active on social media, please feel free to share this information with your networks as well.
