On MLK Day of Service 2018, volunteers will be packaging meals to help address hunger in Genesee County. Through a collaboration between Genesee Serves, the Flint National Service Accelerator and The Outreach Program, volunteers will help package and donate 40,000 nutritious meals that will all stay local and provide additional food security to local families. This fun meal-packaging event will take place on MLK Day, January 15, 2018 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center with lunch following. Interested in helping? We need 215 volunteers that day to make it happen. Register today to volunteer for this exciting and meaningful opportunity! Register Here!
If you do not currently have a log in for Genesee Serves, you will first be directed to create an account. Then you will register for the MLK day opportunity. Please note for those of you looking for volunteer opportunities, Genesee Serves is the volunteer center for the county. The United Way of Genesee County runs it to build capacity for local non profits. It will track your volunteer hours for the year, all in one place!
