WHAT: Water Distribution Day
WHO: Mott Community College’s (MCC) Upward Bound program participants and their advisers
WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
WHERE: Mott Community College Flint Campus, Parking Lot A, off of Court Street and adjacent to the Library
Upward Bound is a Federal TRiO Program funded by The United States Department of Education. Upward Bound is an academic support program for high school students in the Flint area. MCC’s program offers academic support, college preparation, mentoring, workshops, and other support to students.
The goal of Upward Bound is successful completion of high school and the acceptance and transition into a post-secondary educational institute.
MCC’s Upward Bound program currently services 150 students weekly. This event is being held for National TRiO day which is an event for participants to give back to their community and say “thank you.”
