What is GreenLight Flint?
Enter to compete for $10,000 in case prizes, as well as network with angel investors, venture capitalist, and other entrepreneurs from the area. Submit your business model information here by December 15, 2014. A selection committee will choose 10 finalists to pitch their business model to a panel of judges at the GreenLight Flint event on January 22, 2015. First place will receive $5,000; Second place will receive $3,000; Third place will receive $1,500, and $500 will be awarded to the crowd favorite at the event! Also, the top winner of the GreenLight Flint Business Model Competition will receive an automatic bid into the GreenLight Michigan event held in East Lansing on March 31, 2015 where the top prize is $25,000 with a total of $50,000 in prizes. GreenLight Flint is coordinated and sponsored by Spartan Innovations, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, the Flint Area Reinvestment Office, and the eTEAM.
Who Qualifies?
Have a well-thought out business idea? You are welcome to apply! Competition is open to all – students & business professionals.
If you have a registered business entity, you must be a State of Michigan based business that has been in existence for one year or less (earliest incorporation date of 3/31/14).
Winning funds are to be utilized to start or propel business ventures in each local competition area.
