3300 Saginaw St
Flint, MI 48505

This unity march doesn’t travel down Saginaw Street but weaves its way through neighborhood streets, stopping to listen to residents about their particular needs and hand out resource materials. The march includes an MTA Dial-a-ride bus for marchers that can’t walk the distance especially in hot weather, and vehicles and golf carts to give marchers that need a rest break the opportunity without being left behind.
Volunteers canvassed the neighborhood Saturday alerting residents about the upcoming march and installing smoke detectors where requested. (Each year, a different Flint neighborhood is selected for the march.)
It starts at Berston Field House and ends there. An expo filled with service providers, music, fun and food.
This is a very well-planned true outpouring of neighbors helping neighbors.
One day that can change lives in Flint for the better.
