“Be the Change” Volunteer Fair

Valley Area Agency on Aging is hosting a Volunteer Fair on June 1, 2017. I have attached a flyer in the hopes that you can “spread the word”! There will be dozens of non-profits on hand to answer questions about various volunteer opportunities in Genesee County for people 18 and over.

Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated!

• Companionship/friendly visits to lonely seniors
• Respite for tired caregivers
• Assisting with infants, toddlers, and pre-school children in Head Start programs
• Tutoring/Mentoring in public schools
• Transportation to medical appointments for seniors
• Food Pantries
• Soup kitchens/Homeless shelters
• General office work at non-profits
• Refreshments and raffle drawings to all attendees!
