AmeriCorps is an opportunity for anyone age 18+ to help the Flint and Genesee County community, while earning a living stipend and an education award ($5,800 to be used to pay off student loans or offset education costs).
Members can use their passion for helping others to teach kids to read, provide enriching extracurricular activities, board up vacant properties, plant gardens, implement service projects or support top-notch local nonprofit organizations. For available positions, see the attached document and/or click here.
An AmeriCorps service year can be a launching point for a great career, a gateway to further education, or an exploration of what your next step can be. You’ll gain new skills, a professional network, and a whole new world of possibilities.
Flint and Genesee County is home to many amazing AmeriCorps opportunities, from the Flint Recovery Corps, to Flint Urban Safety Corps, from positions at the Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity to many other local organizations. Full-time and half-time positions are available starting in August. Apply today to be the change your community needs.
