The annual placement of American flags on veterans graves at Avondale Cemetery will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 by members and friends of the Eastside Business Association.
Avondale Cemetery and the adjacent Aventine Cemetery (located off southbound Chavez Drive in Flint) have several hundreds of veterans buried, including over 250 Civil War Veterans.
A brief program will be held at 11:00 a.m. and then flags will be placed on veterans graves.
