Program: Goal of the Overall VISTA Project: The Neighborhood Impact VISTA Program (NIVP) has a goal of building economic opportunity throughout three Flint neighborhoods: Clark Commons, South Flint, and Eastside. The goal of the NIVP VISTA Leader is to foster successful and impactful VISTA service throughout the NIVP program
Position Description: Promote professional growth amongst NIVP VISTA members – Lead monthly VISTA meetings – Lead monthly Professional Development Workshops – Encourage VISTAs to discuss strategies, problem-solve, and learn from each other’s experiences – Support VISTAs through Individual Work Plans – Provide one-on-one VISTA member support – Answer any questions, address concerns, and provide examples or templates to assist VISTAs in completing their reports accurately and effectively – Create a resource library for VISTAs – Lead VISTA engagement and communications through applications such as MailChimp and Canva – Support VISTA task management through Google Calendar – Lead team building activities
