Genesee County Health Department’s WIC staff will be providing two trainings in the month of July focused on breastfeeding. You are more than welcome to attend one or all of the sessions. All sessions are free and food will be provided. Please register for the sessions you know you will be attending.
The first training, Breastfeeding Basics, is geared towards non-breastfeeding professionals and community members to provide updated information about breastfeeding. This training will be held at Genesys Conference & Banquet Center on July 29th from 8am-5pm.

The second training, Maternal Health Care, Breastfeeding, and Implicit Bias, is for any medical, early childhood, or other MCH providers who provide services to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. The session will discuss potential biases that may occur in the maternal and child health setting when discussing breastfeeding. This training will be held at Genesys Conference & Banquet Center of July 18th. There are two timeframes you can choose from for this session either 8:30am-12:00pm or 1:00pm – 4:30pm.
