Flint, MI. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Flint Post is pleased to announce their 3rd annual Citizens’ Academy, which will begin Monday, October 1, 2018 and end Monday, November 19, 2018. The FREE eight-week academy will give citizens the opportunity to become familiar with the mission and operation of the MSP, understand the procedures troopers follow, increase their awareness of law enforcement’s role in the community, and get to know personnel at the MSP Flint Post.
The eight-week academy will meet at the MSP Flint Post, located at 4481 Corunna Rd, Flint, MI 48532 every Monday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A graduation ceremony will be held on November 19th, 2018. Individuals who are interested in attending the Citizens’ Academy should contact Trooper Katelyn Hammond or Trooper Steve Kramer of the MSP Flint Post at (810) 732-1111 or via email at HAMMONDK1@MICHIGAN.GOV to receive an application. The deadline for applications will be Monday, September 24th and there are limited spots available.
