Communities First, Inc. has partnered with the Flint Institute of Arts to host an African American Film Series at the Flint Institute of Arts. The series is designed to inspire, inform, empower and entertain attendees.
We hope to see you on Thursday, November 12 at 5:30pm for the first film in the series.
Thursday, November 12 – Brooklyn Boheme (www.bkboheme.com) Reception and live entertainment begins at 5:30pm Spike Lee, Branford Marsalis, and Chris Rock are among the subjects of a portrait of the black arts movement that exploded in the New York borough during the late 1980s through the ’90s. This film is recommended for ages 13 and older, some strong language.
