Flint, Michigan – September 1, 2015 – The following is a statement from Mayor Dayne Walling on this passing of Ms. Vera Rison:
“Ms. Vera Rison was a pillar of the community. Flint has lost one of its greatest champions but Ms. Vera Rison’s selfless devotion to Flint’s families will never be forgotten. She touched thousands of families, seniors and youth. I am proud to have counted her as a friend and I pray for her family and everyone around her at this time of grief.”
